This vegan pecan pie is so easy to make and tastes delicious warm or cold!
The recipe is from The Kind Diet by Alicia Silverstone.
3/4 cup Maple syrup
1/2 cup Barley malt
4 tbs Roasted sesame tahini
2 tbs Arrow root
3 1/4 cup Pecans
1 tsp cinnamon (optional)
1 pre-made pie crust (whole foods has great wholegrain and slept options)
-Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
-Combine maple syrup, barley malt, roasted sesame tahini and arrow root in a food processor and blend.
-Then add 3 cups of pecans to the food processor and combine until it’s crunchy and thick.
- Pour batter into the pre-made pie crust and decorate the top with the left over 1/4 cup of pecans.
-Bake at 350 for 45 min until the top of the pie is golden brown.
Enjoy plain or with fresh seasonal fruit!.
